General Information

The USAV Girls Junior National Championships ends Thursday July 6th
The Evaluation Window for all age groups opens on Saturday July 8th (This is the earliest possible tryout date for ANY club)
Acceptance date for all age groups starts Tuesday July 11th (This is the earliest possible date ANY club may ask you to commit to a team)

SMASH 23-24 Tryout Schedule - All Girls Teams

ALL SMASH Tryouts will be held at Newton South High School

Saturday, July 8th - 13's - 18's

13's & 14's : 9:00am - 11:30am

15's & 16's : 12:00pm - 2:30pm

17's & 18's : 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Players who are not offered a position after the first tryout will all be invited to compete at the open tryout.

15's : 9:00am - 11:00am

16's : 12:00pm - 2:00pm

How to tryout for SMASH for the '23-'24 Club Season

In order to attend the first tryout on July 8th, you must inform Konst Dimov(konst@smashvolleyball.com), Lucas Coffeen and Chris Flouton-Barnes of your interest in SMASH and fill out this form. Once you reach out to us, we will send you all additional information and paperwork.
Please note we are NOT allowed to discuss specific teams or offer placement before July 8th. NO CLUB is allowed to actively recruit specific players/families prior to them reaching out first. If you are interested in playing with SMASH, please make sure to fill out this form.

What if I cannot make the tryout date?

Communicate directly with Konst Dimov (konst@smashvolleyball.com) as early as possible that you are unable to attend. We have a large network of coaches and contacts in the community and will try to gather as much information as possible about your play.
Send a follow up email the week before the tryouts to confirm your interest in SMASH.
Understand that we cannot offer any positions until July 9th

How many spots will be available after the first tryout?

We plan to have positions available on all teams for the open tryouts. The amount of spots will vary by team. If a team is full, we will announce this so families and athletes can plan accordingly. Unless you have confirmation from SMASH that a team is full, you can assume there are positions available. We have new players join our club every year!
At SMASH, we only have strong teams who train seriously. Our "2nd" teams are routinely in the top 5 teams in the entire New England region at their age group. These teams benefit greatly from our competitive practice environment, travel out of region, two strong coaches, and are often recruited to play in college.
