SMASH @ Boston Volleyball Festival

Top New England club at region's biggest event

 

SMASH Volleyball was the top performing club at the 2020 Mizuno Boston Volleyball Festival. 

The BVF, New England's largest volleyball tournament, featured 760 juniors teams representing 149 clubs on 91 courts!  SMASH had the most teams of any club in attendance with 24 boys and girls teams.  

SMASH Boys had the highest finishing NE team for U14, U15, U17, and U18, and in U16 finished 2nd and 3rd!

SMASH Girls had the highest finishing NE team for U12, U13, U14, U15, and U16!

SMASH 12s were tournament champions, capping their weekend with an amazing three set match against NYC Juniors.  SMASH 15s were 15 Open champions, with a domineering Day 3 effort that culminated with a victory in the final over Downstate.

SMASH 16s and 13s each finished second in Gold, SMASH 14s and 12s Energy each won the Silver bracket, and SMASH 17s won the Bronze bracket.

Congratulations to all teams for working hard and embracing the challenge of competing at the highest level of play in each age group!

Angle Of Attack

SMASH Girls lift off at NERVA I with 18 Gold and 16 Bronze wins

 

SMASH Girls travel teams kicked off the NERVA Series with a brace of impressive tournament wins.

18s Attack emerged victorious atop an 18 Open Gold field loaded with five SMASH teams, and 15s Power ran the table in 16 Open Bronze.

SMASH 14s claimed a 2nd place medal in 16AAA.

All SMASH Girls & Boys teams will compete next weekend at the Boston Volleyball Festival.

SMASH @ Triple Crown

Three teams at NIT in Kansas City

 

SMASH 18s, 17s, and 15s traveled to Kansas City, MO to compete in the Triple Crown National Invitation Tournament over Presidents' Day weekend.

Considered the top tournament in the country, Triple Crown is a major recruiting event, and SMASH 18s' Sammie Sheppard got some great press at the Friday showcase:
