Patch Summer Clinics


Hall of Fame Coach Gary Patch

New this year, SMASH will be offering three weeks of Patch Summer Clinics from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Rivers School in Weston! 

 

Coach Patch has been a mainstay in New England Volleyball and SMASH for almost 20 years. He has coached the New England Regional Champions almost every year of his coaching career and MANY of his players have gone on to play DI, DII, or DIII Volleyball. 

 

Selected to the Massachusetts Girls Volleyball Coaches' Association Hall of Fame, Coach Patch holds the record for most consecutive match victories in Massachusetts (146). He has been a head coach at the Division II and Division III College level and is the current head coach at Medway High School.

Middle School Clinic

7/29-8/2, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Rivers School in Weston
$250

Specially developed volleyball clinic led by Coach Patch for players going into 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. All skills will be covered, including - passing, setting, attacking, and serving. Learn how to do skills the RIGHT way! Players of all experience levels are welcome and would benefit.

Patch Team Clinic

8/5-8/9, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Rivers School in Weston
$250/player, minimum 8 players/team

 

Come with your high school team and get a head start on the season! Coach Patch has been one of the most successful coaches in the history of Massachusetts volleyball. With your team, you will learn - basic offensive and defensive systems, serve and pass formations and rotations, offensive plays, coverage responsibilities, and more. All skills will be covered. Attending this clinic will give your high school team a HUGE advantage over your competition in the upcoming season.

Patch Tryout Prep

8/12-8/16, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Rivers School in Weston
$250/player

All players trying out for their high school teams this year encouraged to attend. Coach Patch will provide tryout success tips learned over years of hosting high school tryouts to help you stand out. Whether you are trying to make a 9th grade team or competing for a starting position on a varsity team, you will learn how to have a successful high school tryout. Serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking will all be covered. A great opportunity to prepare for your tryouts the following week!
