SMASH dominates NERVA again in 2019

Fourteen SMASH Girls travel teams competed at the NERVA Championships on May 5, 2019.  (Ten of these teams were competing above age level.)

SMASH won the New England regional title in U18 (seventh time in last eight years), and in U14 (sixth time in last eight years).

With two of the Top 5 volleyball teams in New England (SMASH 17s & 18s Attack) sidelined for the regional championships due to NERVA attendance rules, SMASH still placed four teams in the Top 10 in New England U18.  SMASH 18s placed 1st, SMASH 16s placed 3rd, 17s Black Ice placed 6th, and 18s Blizzard placed 10th.

In U16, SMASH placed four teams in the Top 12, and five teams in the Top 20.  16s eXtreme placed 3rd, SMASH 15s placed 8th, SMASH 14s and SMASH 16s Sparks placed 11th, and 15s Power placed 19th.

SMASH 13s were champions of 14 Open, with 13s Thunder and SMASH 12s placing 2nd and 3rd in 14A.  SMASH 12s Energy placed 2nd in 13A.

Congratulations to all teams for such a strong season of growth and improvement.  Keep up your hard work this summer!
