Newton North won their fifth state title in a five-set thriller over Barnstable, marking the second time the Tigers have gone back-to-back as MIAA Division 1 champs.  With current or former SMASH players comprising 50% of his playoff roster, third-year coach Nile Fox reversed a regular season loss to Barnstable to secure the state championship.  Congratulations, Tiger Volley!
